Travel Tips and Tricks Tuesday Episode 2

Hi everyone! Welcome to another exciting episode of Travel Tips and Tricks Tuesday! Today we are reviewing some special shirts my mom and I discovered by complete accident. They are called Magellan Outdoor Fish Gear Shirts. Although my mom and I just call them Magellan Swim Shirts. They are made out of a lightweight swimsuit material, and is infused with UPF 50.

These shirts come in a variety of colors and patterns. My favorite being the ones that look like waves or underwater patterns. My mom prefers the floral patters. These shirts are perfect for outdoor activities. However just because the shirts are infused with UPF 50 you will still need to put on sunscreen. You won’t have to put on as much though. Applying sunscreen once where the shirt covers and then apply sunscreen as needed to the areas the shirt doesn’t cover should do the trick.

The Magellan Shirts are also equipped with cooling technology. This helps to keep you cool even in extreme heat. The best way to take advantage of this cooling feature is to get the shirt wet. Once wet the shirt will amplify the coolness of any breeze.

For instance, when my mother and I went to Ship Island one year there was a heat advisory that day. My mom and I wore our Magellan shirts and kept them on the whole time we were on the Island. We even got in the water with the shirts on. Once the shirts were wet, despite the heat, we never had a problem and stayed cool.

Our last trip to Ship Island before we bought the Magellan Shirts, we hit burnt really bad. Since buying the shirts we have not had much issues with sunburns. Except with slight burns on our noses, cheeks, and legs whenever we didn’t reapply sunscreen quick enough after being in the water for long periods of time.

I highly recommend these shirts to help beat the South Mississippi heat. We found these shirts as Academy Sports Store for around $25 each. These shirts are lightweight, cute, protect you from the sun. Get yours today before the heat arrives.

    Until next time!
