Pedro's


 Welcome back my fellow Adventurers to another exciting Location Episode! Last week I talked about my absolute favorite restaurant, Texas Roadhouse. This week I am going to talk about a restaurant my mom discovered. It is kind of tucked away in a back corner of the D' Iberville Promenade in D' Iberville, MS. It is fairly new to my part of South Mississippi. The restaurant I am referring to is Pedro's So let's get started.

    The decor both inside and out reminds me of my favorite cruise port, Cozumel. All that is missing is a beachfront view. When you walk in you will notice a lot of what's called Sugar Skulls. This, I believe, is because they styled the inside after a holiday that is celebrated in Mexico, Spain, and the Philippines called Dia De Los Muertos. Also known as The Day of The Dead. Similar to our Halloween, but instead of trick-or-treating and scary stuff, this holiday is all about honoring your ancestors and loved ones that are no longer with us. So, I guess, you could say the decor is meant to honor both the past and present. Which I believe is an amazing theme for a restaurant.





    When you first get seated a server will bring out chips, salsa, and bean dip. You can request queso as well for an additional cost. All are amazing. I normally order a steak quesadilla, rice, and beans. It is some of the best steak I've had. Second only to Texas Roadhouse and my dad's homemade steaks on the grill. The rice and beans are also amazing.




    I have some exciting news! Pedro's is opening soon in the Crossroads Shopping Center in Gulfport, MS! I don't know when they will officially open their doors to the public at that location, but you can bet once they do, this Adventurer will go check it out and report my findings. Service has always been prompt at the D' Iberville location. Servers are always pleasant and upbeat. Then again with the upbeat fiesta style music playing, how can you not be upbeat and pleasant? Overall I would give Pedro's a full 5 star rating. Definitely 100% recommend checking it out if you are ever in the D' Iberville area. Well that wraps up another Location Episode. Woody’s Roadside Bar and Grill

One of the restaurants where my family likes to eat is Woody’s Roadside Bar and Grill located on Highway 605/ Lorraine Rd. I’ve been to this restaurant multiple times and not once have I ever had bad service. All the employees are super nice and upbeat, and the food is amazing. My mom normally gets the chicken strips and fries while I get the pulled pork sandwich, fries, and sweet potato fries. The sweet potato fries, in my opinion, are absolutely addictive. 😋 I normally can’t finish all of mine, but that is ok because I take it home for leftovers to put in my lunch box for the next time I work at my part-time job.     I highly recommend eating here if you have the chance. The atmosphere is fun, the staff and food is amazing. It is a little loud in the restaurant so if you are looking for some place a little quieter, then this may not be for you. Ship Island Excursions Finally Open for The Season!

      Welcome back my fellow Adventures! I hope you enjoyed the latest episode of Travel Tips and Tricks Tuesday. I know all of you are wondering where we are going this week. Well, this is more like an announcement, because I personally won't be going till its warmer. However, for those that want to go to a really great beach in this cooler weather the Ship Island Excursions Ferry is opening back up for the season! Starting tomorrow, Friday, March 21, the ferry will start taking people back to Ship Island.     Tickets start at $44 for adults. They do offer different prices for seniors, kids, and military as well. The ferry ride takes about an hour to get to the Island. Get to the port early to get a good seat. They do offer concession stands on the boat and on the island, to be sure to bring extra money with you because it does cost extra. Prices for food, drinks, snacks, lounger and umbrella rentals, and souvenirs really isn't that bad.      Th...

Samurai Japanese Cuisine, Sushi Grill, and Bar

            Hi everyone, today we are taking a trip to Samurai Japanese Restaurant. It is a small restaurant located on Sangani Blvd, across the stree from the Wal-Mart Supercenter in D'Iberville, MS. The atmosphere of the restaurant, though small, is very quiet and relaxing with relaxing music playing quietly in the background.     Once seated your server brings out hot towel to clean your hands, which is a great touch. Especially in the winter when even just 2 minutes outside and your fingers will be ice cold. Then once you're ready the server will take your order. My mom and I only waited about 5 minutes and the server brought out our soups, salad, and spring rolls. They were served hot and delicious  😋. Then about 5 minutes later our food arrived.
