Taranto's

 




  Welcome back my fellow adventurers to another exciting Location episode! Last week we took a small trip to Italy with a visit to Olive Garden. This week we are going to cover a restaurant here in South Mississippi in a town called Woolmarket located in Biloxi, MS. It is called Taranto's and they are famous here on the coast for their seafood. So let's get started. 




    Taranto's is located on John Lee Road in Woolmarket and is definitely a favorite for the teachers and staff that work at the school just up the road. It is also a favorite of mine and my mother. However is you are not a fan of seafood, then Taranto's does have other items on their menu. I am a fan of their BBQ pulled pork sandwich and fries, and my mom is a fan of their roast beef poy-boy with gravy and fries. Got to love South Mississippi BBQ!







     It is a small family owned restaurant, and not a chain like Texas Roadhouse or Outback Steak House. It is more like a hidden gem or as some people would say 'a hole in the wall.' Whatever you call it, it has some of the best food. Quite frankly most hidden gem/ hole in the wall restaurants have better food than some big chain restaurants. This is definitely one for South Mississippi. Would definitely give it a 5 star rating if I was a food critic. Well that wraps up another Location Episode. Woody’s Roadside Bar and Grill

One of the restaurants where my family likes to eat is Woody’s Roadside Bar and Grill located on Highway 605/ Lorraine Rd. I’ve been to this restaurant multiple times and not once have I ever had bad service. All the employees are super nice and upbeat, and the food is amazing. My mom normally gets the chicken strips and fries while I get the pulled pork sandwich, fries, and sweet potato fries. The sweet potato fries, in my opinion, are absolutely addictive. 😋 I normally can’t finish all of mine, but that is ok because I take it home for leftovers to put in my lunch box for the next time I work at my part-time job.     I highly recommend eating here if you have the chance. The atmosphere is fun, the staff and food is amazing. It is a little loud in the restaurant so if you are looking for some place a little quieter, then this may not be for you. Ship Island Excursions Finally Open for The Season!

      Welcome back my fellow Adventures! I hope you enjoyed the latest episode of Travel Tips and Tricks Tuesday. I know all of you are wondering where we are going this week. Well, this is more like an announcement, because I personally won't be going till its warmer. However, for those that want to go to a really great beach in this cooler weather the Ship Island Excursions Ferry is opening back up for the season! Starting tomorrow, Friday, March 21, the ferry will start taking people back to Ship Island.     Tickets start at $44 for adults. They do offer different prices for seniors, kids, and military as well. The ferry ride takes about an hour to get to the Island. Get to the port early to get a good seat. They do offer concession stands on the boat and on the island, to be sure to bring extra money with you because it does cost extra. Samurai Japanese Cuisine, Sushi Grill, and Bar

            Hi everyone, today we are taking a trip to Samurai Japanese Restaurant. It is a small restaurant located on Sangani Blvd, across the stree from the Wal-Mart Supercenter in D'Iberville, MS. The atmosphere of the restaurant, though small, is very quiet and relaxing with relaxing music playing quietly in the background.     Once seated your server brings out hot towel to clean your hands, which is a great touch. Especially in the winter when even just 2 minutes outside and your fingers will be ice cold. Then once you're ready the server will take your order. My mom and I only waited about 5 minutes and the server brought out our soups, salad, and spring rolls. They were served hot and delicious  😋. Then about 5 minutes later our food arrived.
