Travel Tips and Tricks Episode: 11 Kindle and Audible




   Welcome back my fellow Adventurers to another exciting episode of Travel Tips and Tricks! Last week I talked about how handy it is to make a Pre-Packing List to make sure you don't forget anything. This week we are going to talk about two special apps you can download if you love to read while on a trip. I am, of course, talking about the Kindle App and Audible App. So let's get started!

    The Kindle App is for ebooks or electronic books. You can purchase the ebooks on Amazon.com and the ebooks will be sent right to your Kindle App. Just make sure it fully downloads. Then you have a full book ready to read right there on your phone, ipad, tablet, etc. The best part is the Kindle App does not require internet to use. So long as your ebook is fully downloaded on your Kindle App, you can still read it without an internet connection. Please note: you will need internet to purchase and download ebooks.

    The Audible App is for audio books. Audio books are books that are read to you while you listen. Like the Kindle App, you can purchase audio books from Amazon.com. Once an audio book is purchased it will be sent directly to your Audible App. Make sure it fully downloads. Just like the Kindle App, as long as the audio book is fully downloaded you do not need internet to listen to your audio books. Both apps will still require an internet connection for any purchases and downloads. 

    I personally like to use both apps together on my phone, so that I can follow along in the Kindle App while Audible reads it to me. Both apps are amazing, whether you use them separately or together. I highly recommend them if you love to read while traveling, and your luggage won't be taken over by too many books. One of the restaurants where my family likes to eat is Woody’s Roadside Bar and Grill located on Highway 605/ Lorraine Rd. I’ve been to this restaurant multiple times and not once have I ever had bad service. All the employees are super nice and upbeat, and the food is amazing. My mom normally gets the chicken strips and fries while I get the pulled pork sandwich, fries, and sweet potato fries. The sweet potato fries, in my opinion, are absolutely addictive. 😋 I normally can’t finish all of mine, but that is ok because I take it home for leftovers to put in my lunch box for the next time I work at my part-time job.     I highly recommend eating here if you have the chance. Ship Island Excursions Finally Open for The Season!

      Welcome back my fellow Adventures! I hope you enjoyed the latest episode of Travel Tips and Tricks Tuesday. I know all of you are wondering where we are going this week. Well, this is more like an announcement, because I personally won't be going till its warmer. However, for those that want to go to a really great beach in this cooler weather the Ship Island Excursions Ferry is opening back up for the season! Starting tomorrow, Friday, March 21, the ferry will start taking people back to Ship Island.     Tickets start at $44 for adults. They do offer different prices for seniors, kids, and military as well. The ferry ride takes about an hour to get to the Island. Get to the port early to get a good seat. They do offer concession stands on the boat and on the island, to be sure to bring extra money with you because it does cost extra. Samurai Japanese Cuisine, Sushi Grill, and Bar

            Hi everyone, today we are taking a trip to Samurai Japanese Restaurant. It is a small restaurant located on Sangani Blvd, across the stree from the Wal-Mart Supercenter in D'Iberville, MS. The atmosphere of the restaurant, though small, is very quiet and relaxing with relaxing music playing quietly in the background.     Once seated your server brings out hot towel to clean your hands, which is a great touch. Especially in the winter when even just 2 minutes outside and your fingers will be ice cold. Then once you're ready the server will take your order. My mom and I only waited about 5 minutes and the server brought out our soups, salad, and spring rolls. They were served hot and delicious  😋. Then about 5 minutes later our food arrived.
