Travel Tips and Tricks Episode: 16

  


  Welcome back my fellow Adventurers to another exciting episode of Travel Tips and Tricks! Last week we talked about the fun of wearing matching shirts and being able to make your own custom shirts for vacation. This week I'm going to talk about something else that's fun to do on a cruise, door decorating! So let's get started!

    Now, I have only been on Carnival Cruise Ships so I do not know if other cruise lines will allow it or not. However, every Carnival Cruise I have been on, there have always been several cabin doors that were decorated. Some even had names to show which members of a large party were staying in which cabin. It's a great way to recognize your cabin door from all the others.



    I do not recommend anything that involves a hammer, nails, or screws. Either use regular tape or command strips and hooks. Something that will help you decorate, but not create a mess or damage the door in anyway. Like I have said earlier, I have only traveled with Carnival Cruise Lines, so I do not know if other cruise lines allow this. So before packing any door decorations for your cruise, please do your research. Check with the cruise line you are booking with to see what is allowed and what isn't. One of the restaurants where my family likes to eat is Woody’s Roadside Bar and Grill located on Highway 605/ Lorraine Rd. I’ve been to this restaurant multiple times and not once have I ever had bad service. All the employees are super nice and upbeat, and the food is amazing. My mom normally gets the chicken strips and fries while I get the pulled pork sandwich, fries, and sweet potato fries. The sweet potato fries, in my opinion, are absolutely addictive. 😋 I normally can’t finish all of mine, but that is ok because I take it home for leftovers to put in my lunch box for the next time I work at my part-time job.     I highly recommend eating here if you have the chance. Ship Island Excursions Finally Open for The Season!

      Welcome back my fellow Adventures! I hope you enjoyed the latest episode of Travel Tips and Tricks Tuesday. I know all of you are wondering where we are going this week. Well, this is more like an announcement, because I personally won't be going till its warmer. However, for those that want to go to a really great beach in this cooler weather the Ship Island Excursions Ferry is opening back up for the season! Starting tomorrow, Friday, March 21, the ferry will start taking people back to Ship Island.     Tickets start at $44 for adults. They do offer different prices for seniors, kids, and military as well. The ferry ride takes about an hour to get to the Island. Get to the port early to get a good seat. They do offer concession stands on the boat and on the island, to be sure to bring extra money with you because it does cost extra. Samurai Japanese Cuisine, Sushi Grill, and Bar

            Hi everyone, today we are taking a trip to Samurai Japanese Restaurant. It is a small restaurant located on Sangani Blvd, across the stree from the Wal-Mart Supercenter in D'Iberville, MS. The atmosphere of the restaurant, though small, is very quiet and relaxing with relaxing music playing quietly in the background.     Once seated your server brings out hot towel to clean your hands, which is a great touch. Especially in the winter when even just 2 minutes outside and your fingers will be ice cold. Then once you're ready the server will take your order. My mom and I only waited about 5 minutes and the server brought out our soups, salad, and spring rolls. They were served hot and delicious  😋. Then about 5 minutes later our food arrived.
