Travel Tips and Tricks Episode: 17

  


  Welcome back my fellow Adventurers to another exciting episode of Travel Tips and Tricks! Last week we covered the fun of door decor. This week we are going to cover something that gets over looked a lot, because we will normally just do our own thing on a cruise. I am, of course, referring to a cruise itinerary. So let's get started!

    Cruise itineraries often get over looked due to us just wanting to relax and do our own thing. Which is perfectly fine. However, eventually you will get bored or want to do something fun that you haven't done yet. You'll have no clue what to do or where to go. Well, the cruise lines have that covered for you. At least, Carnival Cruise Lines do anyway. The cruises that my mom and I have been on had daily itineraries.

    The daily itineraries were slid under our cabin door every morning. On each itinerary they had a list of shows and events that would be going on throughout the day. They would also list the time and place of each show and event. They would also list if that night was going to be elegant night or not in the fancy dining room (separate from the main buffet area). 

    So next time you are on a cruise check the itinerary. You never know what might be going on. Well that pretty much wraps up this episode. Don't forget to check back on Thursday to read about my adventure at Ship Island! Then Spirit will Take over on Saturday to wrap up the week.

Woody’s Roadside Bar and Grill

One of the restaurants where my family likes to eat is Woody’s Roadside Bar and Grill located on Highway 605/ Lorraine Rd. I’ve been to this restaurant multiple times and not once have I ever had bad service. All the employees are super nice and upbeat, and the food is amazing. My mom normally gets the chicken strips and fries while I get the pulled pork sandwich, fries, and sweet potato fries. The sweet potato fries, in my opinion, are absolutely addictive. 😋 I normally can’t finish all of mine, but that is ok because I take it home for leftovers to put in my lunch box for the next time I work at my part-time job.     I highly recommend eating here if you have the chance. The atmosphere is fun, the staff and food is amazing. It is a little loud in the restaurant so if you are looking for some place a little quieter, then this may not be for you. Ship Island Excursions Finally Open for The Season!

      Welcome back my fellow Adventures! I hope you enjoyed the latest episode of Travel Tips and Tricks Tuesday. I know all of you are wondering where we are going this week. Well, this is more like an announcement, because I personally won't be going till its warmer. However, for those that want to go to a really great beach in this cooler weather the Ship Island Excursions Ferry is opening back up for the season! Starting tomorrow, Friday, March 21, the ferry will start taking people back to Ship Island.     Tickets start at $44 for adults. They do offer different prices for seniors, kids, and military as well. The ferry ride takes about an hour to get to the Island. Get to the port early to get a good seat. They do offer concession stands on the boat and on the island, to be sure to bring extra money with you because it does cost extra. Prices for food, drinks, snacks, lounger and umbrella rentals, and souvenirs really isn't that bad.      Th...

Samurai Japanese Cuisine, Sushi Grill, and Bar

            Hi everyone, today we are taking a trip to Samurai Japanese Restaurant. It is a small restaurant located on Sangani Blvd, across the stree from the Wal-Mart Supercenter in D'Iberville, MS. The atmosphere of the restaurant, though small, is very quiet and relaxing with relaxing music playing quietly in the background.     Once seated your server brings out hot towel to clean your hands, which is a great touch. Especially in the winter when even just 2 minutes outside and your fingers will be ice cold. Then once you're ready the server will take your order. My mom and I only waited about 5 minutes and the server brought out our soups, salad, and spring rolls. They were served hot and delicious  😋. Then about 5 minutes later our food arrived.
