Travel Tips and Tricks Episode: 19

Welcome back fellow Adventures to another episode of Travel Tip and Tricks. Last week we talked about the importance of bringing plenty of snacks, drinks, and water. This week we are going to discuss an important tip that a friend gave me when you are booking a cruise. More specifically a cruise cabin. So let's get started!
Some people don't know this, especially first time cruisers, but on some of Carnival Cruise Lines larger ships they actually have different types of cabins. Mostly found on the Carnival Vista Class ships and bigger, Carnival has 3 specialty type cabins and suites that are different from the normal cabins and suites. The areas these cabins are located are called Family Harbor, Cloud 9 Spa Staterooms, and Havana Cabana. Each specialty type comes with features and/or perks that no other cabins and suites have.

The Family Harbor cabins and suites as the name suggests is the designated family area and is located near other family friendly areas on the ship. Getting one of these cabins gives you access to the Family Harbor Lounge where you can enjoy a complimentary breakfast, snacks, large-screen tv, boards games, family movies, and video games. Kids can also eat free at most specialty dinning restaurants (adults must be present), and a free night of babysitting at the Camp Ocean's Night Owls Program. Carnival even offers family bathrobes as well.

The Cloud 9 Spa Cabins are age- restricted, and must be 18-years or older. These rooms are located near the spa and offer exclusive access to the spa pool, thermal suites, and various steam and sensory shower rooms. You will also receive priority access and preferred booking at the spa for your treatments, and possible welcome ritual, complimentary fitness classes, and exclusive spe discounts on port days.

The Havana Cabana cabins and suites are also age restricted at 12-years and older. Some rooms in Havana Cabana come with a private patio area, but all Havana Cabana rooms have access to the Havana Cabana bar and pool area. This includes access to the pool, hot tubes, and bar.

All 3 types of specialty cabins and suites are a different cost from the normal cabins. How you can see these prices and possibly book one of these specialty cabins is actually quite simple yet can get overlooked. All you have to do is log in, click on the cruise you want, and follow the prompts till it takes you to where you select the type of cabin you want. Then start scrolling till you find the specialty cabins listed, and then choose which one you want (indoor, balcony, or suite). Click on it and it will give you a run down of the price and what your total will be. You don't have to commit to anything. You can book that cabin or just exit out and not commit and pay anything. So next time you are booking with Carnival Cruise be sure to check out all the cabins and find the right one for you.

Until next time my fellow Adventurers!
