Travel Tips and Tricks Episode: 31

Image
Welcome back my fellow Adventurers! It is once again time for another episode of Travel Tips and Tricks! Last week we talked about sandals vs. closed-toed water shoes when on vacation. This week we are going to be talking about bringing multiple swimsuits on vacation, especially on a cruise. So let’s get started! When on a trip we normally think to only pack one swimsuit. However, on a cruise you might want to consider bringing multiple swimsuits. That way if your swimsuit gets a stain from food or a drink you have something to change into. Plus, chances are your swimsuit will still be damp when left out to dry overnight. By bringing multiple swimsuits you’ll have a dry one to change into everyday. I would still recommend packing multiple swimsuits even if you’re not going on a cruise and just a regular trip. That about wraps up this week’s episode of Travel Tips and Tricks. Be sure to check back on Thursday for either a location or product review. Spirit will be back agai...

Spirit Take Over Episode: 28

Welcome back my fellow Adventurers! It is once again time to wrap up this week with your favorite host, me, Spirit! It’s been a long ruff week and we have a lot of ground to cover. This week we talked about sandals vs. closed- toed water shoes. We also talked about the Miniso Translation earbuds! So let’s get started! On this week’s episode of Travel Tips and Tricks we debated whether sandals or closed- toed water shoes were better. Ultimately, I think it just depends on your circumstances. Take me, for instance, I don’t wear shoes. While my mom does wear shoes, she will alternate between her shoes depending on her circumstances. This week’s product review covered the viral Miniso Translation earbuds! They are available in the TikTok shop and come in 3 colors: black, pink, and purple. My mom got the purple ones. They have great sound quality and hook around your ear instead of going in your ear like most earbuds. They stay on your ear pretty well too. We haven’t been able t...

Miniso Translation Earbuds

Welcome back my fellow Adventurers to another exciting product review! Last time we covered the Sleek EZ pet comb. This week we are going to cover the viral Miniso Translation Earbuds! So let’s get started! The Miniso Translation Earbuds are available in the TikTok Shop and come in 3 different colors: black, pink, and purple! Their primary purpose, as the name suggests, is language translations. I, personally, have not yet used this feature. However, they do have amazing sound quality when used as normal earbuds. Unlike most earbuds, that go in the ear, the Miniso earbuds hook over the ear and stay on fairly well. I have had no issues with them falling off at all. The case/ charger is small and round and comes with a lanyard so you don’t have to worry about dropping the case. I definitely recommend this product. When I am able to try out the translation feature I will do another product review on this. For now that wraps up this product review. Check back with us on Saturday when Spiri...

Travel Tips and Tricks Episode: 30

Welcome back my fellow Adventurers! We are now on our 30th episode of Travel Tips and Tricks! For this episode we are going to talk about sandals vs. closed-toed water shoes. While some prefer sandals, others prefer closed-toed water shoes, while still others prefer to alternate between the two. Which is better? Let’s get started and find out! There are some that prefer sandals as water shoes unless told otherwise such as on an excursion where it is required to have closed-toed water shoes. I, myself, am one of those people. However, I do have to say there are some advantages to wearing closed-toed water shoes. I learned this on my last trip to Ship Island when I got a blister on my foot from the hot sand. If I had worn closed- toed water shoes that I might have saved my feet. Still going to kick off the shoes, whether they are sandals or closed-toed water shoes, when I get in the water. If I’m just going to the pool I’m wearing sandals, but I think for future beach trips I might stick...

Welcome back my fellow Adventurers! It is once again time for your favorite German Shepherd, me Spirit, to take over and host the weekly wrap up. This week we talked about shell cleaning and a new pet comb! So let’s get started! On this week’s episode of Travel Tips and Tricks we talked about how to clean shells. Got to get them nice and clean in order to bring out all the pretty colors. All you need is water, gentle hand soap, a lint free towel or cloth, and either Vaseline or mineral oil. Remember to give it plenty of drying time after using the Vaseline or mineral oil. Preferably overnight or 24 hours. On this week’s product review we talked about a new pet comb my mom got from Amazon called the Sleek EZ pet comb. She got it for my big sister Luna who sheds a lot. That fur/ hair just comes right off of her whenever mom brushes her with it. Thankfully I don’t she’d like that. Mom just gives me a bath every so often. Got be squeaky clean if I’m going to be on camer...

Product Review Episode: 4

Welcome back my fellow Adventurers to another exciting product review! On the last product I talked about the electric pedi on the TikTok shop. On this episode I am going to talk about the Sleek EZ pet comb I ordered from Amazon. So let’s get started! I first heard about this comb from watching videos of another content creator, Katie Van Slyke. She has used this comb multiple times in her videos on her horses. So, I did my research. I eventually ordered the cat sized one on Amazon. I had been looking for a good brush or comb for my cat that sheds a lot. I started using the Sleek EZ comb on my cat and all the loose hair just started coming off her. In the same amount of time with a normal brush, the Sleek EZ was removing twice as much hair. Luna, my cat, loves the comb as well. She normally hates to be brushed, but will hold still for the comb. The Sleek EZ comb comes in 3 sizes: large (big animals like horses), medium (primarily for dogs), and small ( for cats). I highly r...

Welcome back my fellow Adventurers! It is once again time for another episode of Travel Tips and Tricks! Last week we talked about bringing your own snorkel gear. This week we are going to talk about shell cleaning! If you love shell hunting like I do, the. This will come in handy. So let’s get started! Once you have your shells you will need to clean them, and it’s fairly simple to do with things you may already have at home. You will need some gentle hand soap, water, either Vaseline or Mineral Oil, and old toothbrush, and a lint free cloth. Clean the shell thoroughly with the hand soap and old toothbrush. Rinse off the soap and then dry it with the cloth. Apply a thin layer of either Vaseline or Mineral Oil to the shells. Use the cloth to wipe off any excess and then let the shells dry either overnight or for at least 24 hours. It’s that easy! Now you can clean your shells and enjoy all the colors that are brought out from it. Happy shell hunting! Don’t forge...

Spirit Take Over Episode: 26

Welcome back my fellow Adventurers! It is once again time for your favorite host, me Spirit, to take over and wrap up the week! This week we learned that we can take our own snorkel gear and we got to visit a new location! We have a lot to wrap up and little time to do it so let’s get started! On this week’s episode of Travel Tips and Tricks we talked about bringing your own snorkel gear. I personally think it’s a good idea. Especially if you have sensitive skin like my mom. You never know if the cleaning solution other places use on their gear will irritate your skin. However, by taking your own gear you know exactly what was used to clean it and know your skin won’t get irritated. So no need to worry. Just make sure you do your research and make sure it’s allowed. On this week’s location episode we visited an Italian buffet called Sicily’s. Everything smelled pawsome, but I wasn’t able to sneak a bite of anything this time. I wasn’t able being watched wa...

Sicily’s Italian Buffet

Image
Welcome back my fellow Adventurers! Last Thursday we did a product review. This week we are back on location! Today we are going to visit Sicily’s Italian Buffet in Gulfport, MS. There is another location in St. Martin, MS as well. So let’s get started! Unlike Olive Garden, Sicily’s is a buffet. They have all kinds of pizza, and they also have different types of pasta, fried and grilled chicken, veggies, soups, salads, and desserts. I always end up getting more than what my stomach can handle. The food is just that good. The staff is always super friendly every time I’ve been. This time around I even tried the dessert pizza for the first time. I got the apple dessert pizza and it was amazing. Definitely going to be getting more of that dessert pizza next time I visit. I definitely recommend visiting this restaurant if you get the chance. That about wraps up this episode. Don’t forget to check back with us on Saturday when Spirit takes over and wraps up the week. Don’t f...

Travel Tips and Tricks Episode: 28

Welcome back my fellow Adventurers to another exciting episode of Travel Tips and Tricks! Last week we talked about formal wear rentals on a Carnival Cruise. This week we are going to be talking about bringing your own snorkeling gear when on a cruise or trip. So let’s get started! When I was a kid my family went to a water amusement park. It was really fun and they even had a place where you could snorkel with small reef sharks. The employees provided us with goggles and a snorkel to swim with. The whole experience was great; however, after returning the equipment the my face started to feel very uncomfortable and had a burning sensation. For those that don’t know, I have sensitive skin. So when my face got that burning sensation I knew I was having a reaction to something that was on the equipment. Thankfully they had showers nearby. I quickly went and rinsed my face off really well. The burning sensation did lessen but it did last for about an hour or so. I had watched earl...

Spirit Take Over Episode: 25

Welcome back my fellow Adventurers to another exciting episode where I, your favorite host Spirit, take over and wrap up the week. This week we covered pre- ordering formal wear for a cruise and the Electric Pedi Callus Remover. We have a lot to cover and little time to do it. So let’s get started! On this week’s episode of Travel Tips and Tricks we talked about pre-ordering formal wear for a Carnival Cruise. Got to look your best for formal night! Remember the formal attire is just a rental and will need to be returned before you leave the ship. Also you will have to pre- order before you ever get on the ship because you can’t once you are on the ship. As for this week’s product review, we talked about the Electric Pedi Callus Remover. My has had a sore callus on her foot and I can tell since she has started using it that it has helped. She doesn’t come home limping after long days at work. So it’s definitely highly recommended! Well that about wraps things up....

Product Review Episode: 3

Welcome back my fellow Adventurers to another exciting product review! In this episode I will be covering the viral TikTok Electric Pedi Callous Remover. I did also get the viral translation earbuds but I'm currently still testing them out. So I will be doing their product review at a later date. So let’s get started! I recently purchased the Electric Pedi last month. I bought to see if it could help a spot on my foot that would hurt when on my feet for long shifts back to back at work. I’ve used this product a few times and I’ve already noticed a change in my foot. It’s a lot smoother, the pain has been reduced greatly, and I can feel a thinning of the thick skin callous on my foot. What drew me to this product is the fact that the file roller is mounted vertically on the side instead of horizontally on the top of the handle like most electronic pedi files. Plus it has a built in light just below the file. With the callous on my foot being in an awkward spot the vertic...

Welcome back my fellow Adventurers! It is time, once again, for another exciting episode of Travel Tips and Tricks! Last week we talked about another name for non- alcoholic drinks on a cruise ship. This week we are going to talk about Formal Wear Rentals on a Carnival Cruise. So let’s get started! Did you know the Carnival Cruise Lines offer Formal Wear Rentals? If you didn’t, don’t worry. This is not widely known. However, there is a trick to this. Carnival does not offer rentals while on board. You must pre-order any Formal Wear Rentals through Carnival’s website before your cruise. You cannot access Formal Wear Rentals once on board. If you decide to pre-order a Formal Wear Rental, you can pick it up at the store called Cherry- on- Top located in the shopping area (Atrium) on your Carnival Cruise Ship. It’s normally located on the same level as the gift shop. Don’t forget to pick up some sweets while you’re there. Cherry- on- Top is the candy shop after all. Just do...
