Travel Tips and Tricks Episode: 33
Welcome back my fellow Adventurers to another exciting episode of Travel Tips and Tricks! Last week we talked about using Carnival Cruise Line Specialty Cups. This week we are going to talk about lanyards on a Carnival Cruise. I know you might be asking why you might need a lanyard on a cruise. Well let’s get started and I’ll explain.
On a Carnival Cruise Ship none of the stores, bars, or restaurants that cost extra will accept cash, debit cards, credit cards, checks, or any tap payments. So, how do you pay for any purchases on the ship? Well fear not there is a way. When you board the ship you are given a card that has your name and room number on it. This card acts as your room key and as your alternate credit card for on-ship purchases. And it is charged to your room and the credit card attached to your Carnival accountYou can just put this card in your pocket or wallet. However the best and most popular way to carry it is by attaching it to a lanyard.
Carnival does have lanyards for purchase in the gift shop, or you can bring your own. I did buy a lanyard my first cruise; however, I have found I do prefer to bring my own. It is completely up to you. You can choose to purchase one on the ship or get one from your local store. However I definitely recommend using a lanyard so you don’t have to worry about it falling out of your pocket or having to tote around a wallet or purse the whole time.
Just remember that while the card does take care of any purchases while on the ship, any purchases made off- ship while shopping at the ports or on excursions you will need to have either cash or card with you to pay. Well that about wraps up this episode of Travel Tips and Tricks. If all goes well then a new location episode will be available on Thursday and Spirit will be back to wrap up our week on Saturday!
Until next time my fellow Adventurers!
