Spirit Take Over Episode: 15

Image
Welcome Back my fellow Adventurers to another exciting episode where I, Spirit, take over amd wrap up the week. What a week it was to, and there is still more fun coming! This week we talked about Cruise Itineraries and got to finally visit Ship Island. So let's get started!     While relaxing and doing your ownt hing on a cruise is great, don't forget to check out the cruise itinerary. That way if you ever get bored, you still have things you can do. For instance, Carnival Cruise Lines offers all kinds of shows and events including a comedian and a class on how to make towel animals! So be sure to check it out!     Now onto the best part! Our trip to Ship Island! We had a blast! There were a lot of shells to sniff and the water was pretty clear, but really salty. I do not recommend drinking the water out of the ocean! Don't even get me started on all the crabs. One even tried to pinch my tail! As for the fort, it's huge and so are the cannons! ...

Ship Island Part: 2

Welcome back my fellow Adventurers to a much anticipated location episode! You will finally be able to read about my adventure to Ship Island! I had so much fun, and if you can't tell by the last video I posted Spirit really enjoyed himself too. So without further adieu...let's get started!     As I have said before, in order to get to Ship Island you have to take a ferry. The ferry docks at a harbor next to Jones Park in Gulfport, MS. The entrance is on the left side of a massive pavillion type area. You can't miss it. I do recommend buying your tickets in advance online. That way you can just check in and head to the ferry. Get there early because seats fill up fast. The ferry ride lasts about 45min to an hour and there are snacks available while you enjoy the ride. Be sure to bring extra money because food and drinks on the boat and on the island are not included in the cost of the ferry ticket. Be sure to keep an eye out for dolphins as well. They love...

Travel Tips and Tricks Episode: 17

Welcome back my fellow Adventurers to another exciting episode of Travel Tips and Tricks! Last week we covered the fun of door decor. This week we are going to cover something that gets over looked a lot, because we will normally just do our own thing on a cruise. I am, of course, referring to a cruise itinerary. So let's get started!     Cruise itineraries often get over looked due to us just wanting to relax and do our own thing. Which is perfectly fine. However, eventually you will get bored or want to do something fun that you haven't done yet. You'll have no clue what to do or where to go. Well, the cruise lines have that covered for you. At least, Carnival Cruise Lines do anyway. The cruises that my mom and I have been on had daily itineraries.     The daily itineraries were slid under our cabin door every morning. On each itinerary they had a list of shows and events that would be going on throughout the day. They would also list the time ...

Spirit Take Over Episode: 14

Welcome back my fellow Adventurers to another exciting episode where I, Spirit, take over and wrap up the week. This week my mom talked about cruise cabin door decorating and Francis X. Collins Fitness Center. Both are so pawsome to do. So let's get started!     On our last episode of Travel Tips and Tricks my mom talked about cruise cabin door decorating. It turns a plain old cabin door into something pawsome! It can also help you recognize your door among a sea of doors that all look the same. If you are with a large group it can also help you keep track of who is in which cabin. Just be sure not to damage the door. Also be sure to check with the cruise line you book through to see if you are allowed to decorate your door.     As  for the location this week, we went to the Francis X. Collins Fitness Center. Neither my mom nor I like to workout much, but we love the pool! They have a 3ft section for little guys like me. The middle, th...

Welcome back my fellow Adventurers to another exciting location episode. Last week we got to check out Pedro's restaurant in Gulfport, MS. This week I am going to talk about the place I've been visiting this summer for their pool. It's called Francis X. Collins Fitness Center. So let's get started!        It is located in Gulfport, MS near Pass Rd. It has a decent sized pond, park, and walking track outside and inside there is a gym that is free to use, just remember to sign in and out on the clip board at the door. Just behind the gym is a large Z-shaped outside pool as well. Admission to use the pool is only $2 each day that you want to use the pool during the summer.     Currently the pool is only open Monday-Friday 12:30-4:30 due to issues with the amount of lifeguards available. I do recommend calling first to make sure the pool is open before coming due to the unpredictable weather during the summer months. The gym, park, and ...

Travel Tips and Tricks Episode: 16

Welcome back my fellow Adventurers to another exciting episode of Travel Tips and Tricks! Last week we talked about the fun of wearing matching shirts and being able to make your own custom shirts for vacation. This week I'm going to talk about something else that's fun to do on a cruise, door decorating! So let's get started!     Now, I have only been on Carnival Cruise Ships so I do not know if other cruise lines will allow it or not. However, every Carnival Cruise I have been on, there have always been several cabin doors that were decorated. Some even had names to show which members of a large party were staying in which cabin. It's a great way to recognize your cabin door from all the others.     I do not recommend anything that involves a hammer, nails, or screws. Either use regular tape or command strips and hooks. Something that will help you decorate, but not create a mess or damage the door in anyway. Like I have said earlier, I have on...

Spirit Take Over Episode: 13

Welcome back my fellow Adventurers to another exciting episode where I, Spirit, take over and wrap up the week. This week we talked about the fun of wearing matching shirts on vacation and making them too. We also got to visit the new Pedro's location. So let's get started!     On our last episode of Travel Tips and Tricks we talked about the fun of matching shirts and making them. I think its a fun idea. Especially, if you are making your own shirt designs. You can design the shirts however you want. You can also choose what color shirts you want to do too. So I highly recommend doing it and then showing them off on your trip!     Now to the trip to the new Pedro's in Gulfport, MS. Unfortunately, I have bad news. There is still no dancefloor! I still can't bust a move to the fun music. I tried and slipped on the table almost landing in the bean dip. So embarrassing! Thankfully the waitress was really nice about it. The food smelled pawsome...

Gulfport Pedro's Is Now Open!

Image
Welcome back my fellow Adventurers! As you were probably able to tell I was able to make it to the new Pedro's in Gulfport! I did share a video on Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram to give you a brief glimpse at the interior. I will include that video on this post as well in case you missed it. Now I am going to tell you about my experience. So let's get started!     I would like to start out by saying I am absolutely obsessed with the interior design! Unlike the location in D' Iberville, MS, this location gave off more of a Springtime in Mexico feel. It matched the energy I felt whenever I went to Cozumel on a Carnival Cruise. I absolutely love it!     The food is just as good as the D' Iberville location is not a little better. Service, just like at the other location, was quick and everyone was very nice. Despite being pretty busy there were still plenty of tables available. Both locations have outdoor seating as well if you want to eat outside ...

Travel Tips and Tricks Episode: 15!

Welcome back my fellow Adventurers to another exciting episode of Travel Tips and Tricks! Last week we talked about the importance of planning your route regardless of whether you use GPS or not. Today we are going to talk about something really fun to wear, matching shirts! So let's get started!     The first cruise my mom and I took there was one thing we noticed. A lot of big groups were wearing matching shirts for boarding day. Throughout the cruise we even noticed that some of those same big groups had different matching shirts for each day on the cruise. I thought this was a really cool idea. A person could easily keep an eye on everyone in their party and be less likely to get lost in the crowd.     Not only is it a good idea for safety, you can also design them how you want. You can either order online, ask a friend who makes shirts, or learn to do it yourself. You don't even need a fancy machine. Just a plain shirt and either fabric pai...

Spirit Take Over Episode: 12

Welcome back my fellow Adventurers to another exciting episode where I, Spirit, take over and wrap up the week. Last week we covered a special lotion for sunburns and a restaurant called Taranto's. This week my mom covered the importance of planning your route and we also went back to Texas Roadhouse for another visit. So let's get started!     I believe planning your route is very important. GPS is good and can get you at least into the general area of your destination. However if you have your route planned out, then when GPS makes a mistake then you will know it right away. Because there are times where places change location and GPS know that immediately. GPS won't know location changes or new places until its systems and online maps are updated again. So be careful!     This week we also revisited Texas Roadhouse. My mom did try something different other than her usual steak and shrimp. This time she got the pulled pork....

Texas Roadhouse Part: 2

Welcome back my fellow Adventurers to another exciting Location Episode. This is a place we have been to before on this blog, but I tried something different on the menu and had to share the experience with you. So bear with me and lets get started.      Normally at Texas Roadhouse I get the 6oz sirloin with grilled shrimp as my main dish which is delicious. However, this time I decided to try the pulled pork. Now this dish is something I use to get when I was little. It wasn't anything special back then, but I decided to try it again to see if anything changed. I was not disappointed! One bite and it was an explosion of flavor in my mouth. It is some of the best pulled pork I've had in awhile. Texas Roadhouse has definitely upped their pulled pork game since I was a kid. The meat was not only full of flavor, but juicy and really tender too! It's absolutely amazing!      I definitely recommend getting the pulled pork at Texas Roadhouse ...

Travel Tips and Tricks Episode: 14

Welcome Back my fellow Adventurers to another exciting episode of Travel Tips and Tricks! Last week I shared with you about a special lotion called Super Smooth that comes in really handy when you have a sunburn. This week I am going to talk about the importance of planning your route when traveling. So let's get started!     Now, I know, that planning what you are going to do on your trip is all you can think about. However, don't forget to plan the route you are going to take to get to your destination. It takes careful planning so that you can make it from Point A to Point B safely and quickly. If you are driving to your vacation destination then you will need to plan which roads you are going to take, which exits, which turns, all of it. Otherwise you will most likely get lost. Don't leave it up to your GPS to make all those decisions. GPS is not 100% accurate.      If you are flying, make sure you book the correct flight, and once you l...
