Spirit Take Over Episode: 11

Image
Welcome back my fellow Adventurers to another exciting episode where I, Spirit, take over the blog and wrap up the week. Last week mom discussed cruise drink packages and Olive Garden. This week we covered a special lotion for sunburns and Taranto's restaurant. So let's get started!     The Super Smooth Body Lotion my mom uses smells pawsome! It has a light but sweet floral scent to it, and makes her skin really soft. It also helps her heal and recover from sunburns quickly. Which is a good thing since she has sensitive skin and burns easily.     Now for the hidden gem called Taranto's. Everything smelled pawsome! It was a bit loud, but that was because we attended a luncheon with a lot of people. Service was really quick and friendly. This place is really well known for their seafood. And if the shrimp that a lot of our table ordered and the crawfish that the next table over ordered taste as good as it smelled, I can see why Taranto's is famous ...

Taranto's

Welcome back my fellow adventurers to another exciting Location episode! Last week we took a small trip to Italy with a visit to Olive Garden. This week we are going to cover a restaurant here in South Mississippi in a town called Woolmarket located in Biloxi, MS. It is called Taranto's and they are famous here on the coast for their seafood. So let's get started.      Taranto's is located on John Lee Road in Woolmarket and is definitely a favorite for the teachers and staff that work at the school just up the road. It is also a favorite of mine and my mother. However is you are not a fan of seafood, then Taranto's does have other items on their menu. I am a fan of their BBQ pulled pork sandwich and fries, and my mom is a fan of their roast beef poy-boy with gravy and fries. Got to love South Mississippi BBQ!        It is a small family owned restaurant, and not a chain like Texas Roadhouse or Outback Steak House. It is more like a hidden...

Travel Tips and Tricks Episode: 13

Welcome back to another exciting episode of Travel Tips and Tricks. Last week I talked about Drink Packages and whether or not they would be right for your trip. This week we are going to talk about a special lotion that I discovered thanks to a former co-worker and family friend, who gave me a bottle of it as a gift. This lotion is called Super Smooth So lets get started!     The Super Smooth body lotion comes in several different scents, but I prefer the scent Beautiful Day. It's a refreshingly sweet scent that I absolutely love. It also makes the skin nice and soft without must of a residue like other lotions. What makes the lotion so special is that is works really well on sunburns. It has an ingredient in it called Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, that helps take the sting and heat out of the burns. It also helps heal the burns quickly too. If you get a bad sunburn from the beach, working outside, playground, etc, I recommend a cold shower to clean up and...

Spirit Take Over Episode: 10!

Image
Welcome back my fellow Adventurers to our 10th episode where I, Spirit, take over and wrap up the week. I can't believe it's already been 10 episodes. Time really does fly when you are having fun! Last week my mom talked about 2 great reading apps and Cracker Barrel with its home-style cooking. This week she talked about the drink packages on a cruise and gave us a small taste of Italy with a visit to Olive Garden. So let's get started!     Drink packaged do have their perks. Prices, rules, and what's included will most likely vary between cruise lines. So I do recommend doing your research to figure out if a drink package with the cruise line you choose is something that will work for your trip. For my family, it doesn't really work so we follow the rules and bring our own drinks that follows cruise regulations.     This week mom gave us a small taste of Italy, when she visited Olive Garden. Service was really fast and everyone was so nice. The ...

Olive Garden

Welcome back my fellow Adventurers to another Location Episode. Last week I talked about Cracker Barrel and their great home-cooking style food. This week we are going to take our taste buds on a little trip to Italy and enjoy some great Italian food. I am of course talking about Olive Garden. So let's get started!     Olive Garden is a restaurant I've been eating at for quite awhile now. I personally love the creamy, with a slight kick of spice, Zuppa Toscana soup. I just love dipping the buttery bread sticks into it while I eat. For the main course, I love the Fettuccine Alfredo. My mom likes the spaghetti with the angel hair pasta and meat sauce. We also got to try a new appetizer while we were there called Lasagna Fritta. It was really good and definitely recommend trying it if you get the chance.     Olive Garden , in South Mississippi, is located in D' Iberville, MS in the D' Iberville Promenade. Service has always been great. Never had a ...

Travel Tips and Tricks Episode 12: Cruise Drink Packages

Image
Welcome back my fellow Adventurers to another exciting episode of Travel Tips and Tricks. Last week I talked about 2 great reading apps to have while traveling. This week we are going to talk about cruise drink packages, and whether or not they are worth getting. So let's get started.      I do not know about other cruise lines, but Carnival Cruise Lines does have drink packages. We will talk about 2 of the most popular ones. The first package is called Bottomless Bubbles Package. It cost $8.20 per-child per-day, and $11.21 per-adult per-day. This package covers mainly sodas and juices. All-alcoholic beverages are excluded and you will have to pay full price. Sodas and juices normally cost about $2.75 on a Carnival Cruise. However with the Bottomless Bubbles Package it's all-you-can-drink. There are some restrictions. Such as the packages cannot be shared. Each adult and child will need their own package. Soft drinks will be served in 16oz glasses. Ju...

Welcome Back fellow Adventurers to another exciting episode with your favorite German Shepard, me, Spirit. It is once again time for me to take over my mom's blog and help her wrap up this week. Last week we covered a really cool Mexican restaurant called Pedro's and my mom discussed the usefulness of a Pre-Packing List so you don't forget anything. This week my mom talked about some really cool book apps and a pawsome restaurant called Cracker Barrel. So let's get started!     On Tuesday, my mom talked about the Kindle and Audible apps and how even if you don't have internet access you can still read and/or listen to your books. Provided your ebook and/or audiobook are fully downloaded onto the apps before losing internet service.      Thursday, mom talked about our visit to Cracker Barrel. There was so much to look at both in the store and in the restaurant. The food smelled pawsome! Everyone was so friendly. Mom even gave me a small bite ...

Welcome back my fellow Adventurers to another exciting Location Episode! Last week I talked about Pedro's, a newer Mexican restaurant in South Mississippi. This week we are going to talk about another restaurant chain I've been eating at since I was a kid. This restaurant chain in called Cracker Barrel. So lets get started.      My family has eaten at Cracker Barrel since I was little. It's one of my mom's favorite places to eat. It is known for it's rustic antique decor and great home-style cooking. Each location is decorated with all sorts of antiques, to give you a glimpse into past periods of time. The store at the front of the restaurant carries the old-fashioned candy that hasn't been sold any where else in years. They also sell very cute clothes, toys, and various other items as well. My mom and I always enjoy looking around in the store after eating.      As for the h ome-style cooking. It is absolutely amazing. I definitely rec...

Travel Tips and Tricks Episode: 11 Kindle and Audible

Image
Welcome back my fellow Adventurers to another exciting episode of Travel Tips and Tricks! Last week I talked about how handy it is to make a Pre-Packing List to make sure you don't forget anything. This week we are going to talk about two special apps you can download if you love to read while on a trip. I am, of course, talking about the Kindle App and Audible App. So let's get started!     The Kindle App is for ebooks or electronic books. You can purchase the ebooks on Amazon.com and the ebooks will be sent right to your Kindle App. Just make sure it fully downloads. Then you have a full book ready to read right there on your phone, ipad, tablet, etc. The best part is the Kindle App does not require internet to use. So long as your ebook is fully downloaded on your Kindle App, you can still read it without an internet connection. Please note: you will need internet to purchase and download ebooks.     The Audible App is for audio books. Audio bo...

Welcome back fellow Adventurers to another exciting episode where I take over and wrap up the week. Along with showing you all my photobomb pictures for the week. There is a lot to review so let's get started!      Let's start with reaching episode 10 on Travel Tips and Tricks! In this weeks episode, mom discussed Pre-Packing Lists and how they can help you not forget to pack things. Which I think is pretty handy have. My mom has also said that she hopes to release many more episodes of Travel Tips and Tricks in the future!      As for the Location Episode, my mom and I went to a very fun Mexican restaurant called Pedro's Really fun music playing. Too bad there wasn't a dance floor. The food smelled pawsome! The decorations were really cool with all the brightly colored skulls everywhere. Definitely want to go back soon.     Well that wraps up this week. Here are some of my photo bombing pictures to last you until I take ...

Pedro's

Welcome back my fellow Adventurers to another exciting Location Episode! Last week I talked about my absolute favorite restaurant, Texas Roadhouse. This week I am going to talk about a restaurant my mom discovered. It is kind of tucked away in a back corner of the D' Iberville Promenade in D' Iberville, MS. It is fairly new to my part of South Mississippi. The restaurant I am referring to is Pedro's So let's get started.     The decor both inside and out reminds me of my favorite cruise port, Cozumel. All that is missing is a beachfront view. When you walk in you will notice a lot of what's called Sugar Skulls. This, I believe, is because they styled the inside after a holiday that is celebrated in Mexico, Spain, and the Philippines called Dia De Los Muertos. Also known as The Day of The Dead. Similar to our Halloween, but instead of trick-or-treating and scary stuff, this holiday is all about honoring your ancestors and loved ones that are no longer with us. So, I...
